Hernan has over 30 years of extensive experience as both in-house counsel and external corporate advisor to local and international companies. He provides legal counsel in corporate law, M&A, contracts, and other areas of corporate practice.

Hernan is a tenured professor, appointed through public competition, of Commercial and Corporate Law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Buenos Aires (UBA). He is also a professor in the Master’s Program in Business Law and the Master’s Program in Global Business Law at the Austral University, where he teaches Corporate Law and Contracts. In addition, he teaches Negotiable Instruments in the law degree program and in the Master’s Program in Business Law at University of San Andres (UDESA), where he also leads a Contract Drafting Workshop Seminar.

Hernan has authored and published books on corporate law (The Guarantee Function of Share Capital in Corporations), negotiable instruments (Limitation of Liability in Negotiable Instruments Law), and contracts (Contract Drafting Techniques). He has contributed to some of the most prestigious legal journals in Argentina, including La Ley, El Derecho, Jurisprudencia Argentina, and Errepar, as well as international publications such as World Securities Law Report, New York State Bar Association International Chapter Newsletter, and International Law News.

Hernán earned his law degree from the UBA in 1991, graduating cum laude. He also holds a Master’s Degree in Business Law from Austral University (1995) and a PhD in Law from the same institution (2023), graduating summa cum laude. He attended the Program of Instruction for Lawyers at the Harvard Law School in 1999. In the 1990s, he was ranked by LatinLawyer among Argentina’s top 40 lawyers under the age of 40 in its “40-Under-40” survey. He is a member of the Buenos Aires City Bar Association.
